Yes, so, I made a comic. About cellos wearing underwear. What can I say? One thing led to another and with a sprinkle of procrastination from doing Human Origins revision and the concept of anthropomorphic cellos was born. Hey - my degree’s in anthropology, okay? ~~Yes I know this has nothing to do with hominins but whatever~~

Me and my friend, ~~well, mainly me,~~ have big plans for this. Including several other cello friends for this here cello which does not yet have a name but which will. Soon. After my exams are over.

I hate paints, you know. It’s a mutual thing. Especially watercolours. Yet lately I’ve been getting a calling from some fiiiine paints I saw in Rymans (inskin tones no less). So today when I was in town, I bought some. And today, when I got back home, I tried them out. And because I couldn’t be bothered to draw any clothes, she’s in her underwear. Who doesn’t like blue and red (supposedly hur hur) stripy underwear anyway?

The result of all this was, at any rate, that I quite enjoyed my bit of painting. So hopefully I’ll draw some more and paint some more, hopefully when I’m not meant to be revising :D

I’m dead. This took three and a half hours which for me is a loooong time to spend on one picture. The good news is that I didn’t get bored or tired until right at the very end (and I think that was just because I knew it was the end) perhaps I shall like colouring yet!

This was inspired by Native American culture, as you (hopefully) should be able to guess. I was going to colour it but I couldn’t decide on the palette early on so I thought I’d change it to colour by using the overlay mode on the layers but that…didn’t work out too well on the skin so there you go.
At least the values are all right (har har)

It’s snowing where I am at the moment. Snow. In March. -_- It wouldn’t be so bad if it was the nice fluffy stuff (though, truly, I’m wary of even that now; it is not nice to walk through) but it’s the small, non-laying kind that seems to do nothing but get tumbled around by the wind and never land. So no nice snowy vistas, just a whole load of snowy air. That’s the inspiration for this, at any rate, so if you’re wondering why a Christmassy picture in March, blame the weather.

The Bubble - my university’s…online newspaper (I think) - had an event where you could go and draw on whitewashed walls. Open to everyone and free of charge, so I went along with my friend. We were there for an hour and a half and these were my contributions (all drawn completely free hand, no sketch). I tried to work around and sometimes onto other people’s work. It was lots of fun and I enjoyed working with the paints and I usually avoid them like the plague!
